It’s interesting to note, I had looked at many of the other schools on Long Island but after watching you Master Messina and Subunim Ray work with the kids, I knew that Tae Cole was the only place for us. The way Master Messina spoke to the kids, “You can do it” “You can do it” she repeated as one of the other kids was attempting to break a board. Master Messina - You were so determined to see this little boy succeed even though he did not have complete confidence in himself. He looked at you as you said “You can do it” and hearing everyone chanting his name, his eyes got wider and wider, then he looked at the board (I think he actually looked through it as if he had X-Ray vision), focused, and bam – right through the board he went. I guess sometimes you have to borrow someone else’s belief in you. You could see the excitement this little boy felt, the smile from ear to ear, the high fives, and the chanting of his name was something that resonates in my mind. You sure know how to help people succeed.

I’ve always felt, even though you are in a group setting – it’s obvious that you are made to feel that you are receiving personalized individual attention. Our children have learned the importance of discipline, self respect, and how to treat others as evidenced by how they interact at home with each other, and how they respond to us, their parents. I am not convinced that we could have completely instilled some of these values without you and Subunim.

I joined Tae Cole Tae Kwon Do a bit later than my children. It’s my favorite event of the day besides hanging out with Stefanie and the kids. The bag workouts are just great for relieving my anxiety and stress from a long day in New York City. As you know - I try to attend 4-5 times per week. The Super Work Out Classes are so much fun yet very challenging. I never know what’s in store for me because either one of you, Master Messina or Subunim always have a special treat in class. Could be a new routine, or a minor modification, I just know that there is always a special surprise awaiting us, lol.

Besides learning self defense techniques I must thank both of you (Master Messina and Subunim) for the training I receive. I am more focus and concentrated on what I do and have a significantly more balanced life. Through Tae Cole we have met so many new friends and families and I believe it’s helped me develop a better relationship with my wife, Stefanie and our four great kids. I am enthusiastic about attending your school and feel very privileged to be a student of Tae Cole TaeKwonDo and look forward to continuing calling you ---- My Master Messina and Subnim.
